C.A.T.S. detectives work gathering clues at a mock crime scene.
CSI camp offers youth a chance to become a detective
June 15, 2010
Young people will have the opportunity to become a detective and solve a crime at C.A.T.S. Summer Camps CSI Camp in Thousand Oak this July. Super sleuths will explore the world of forensic science as they learn how detectives put the pieces of a crime scene puzzle together while solving their own mock crime and figuring out not just "whodunnit," but how they did it.
Students are split into teams and will have fun uncovering clues as they learn the basics of crime scene investigation while developing their ability to use logic and apply strategies to problem solving. A fun hands on educational experience that will have kids using some of the tools used in real crime scene investigation such as photography, videography, sketching and fingerprinting.
CSI Camp is open to kids 7-13 and will held only in Thousand Oaks, July 5-9, 1-4 pm at The Cameron Center, 288 Greenmeadow Dr, Thousand Oaks, just west of the 101 off Lynn Rd.
