Bridal Premiere slated for Hyatt
January 9, 2009
The Bridal Premiere, a day of wedding exhibits and fashion shows, will be held on Sunday, January 11 at the Hyatt Westlake, 80- So Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.
Exhibit hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and fashion shows will be held at 12:30 and 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door, and $8 on line at www.bridalpremiere.com. Discount coupons, good for up to four people, are also available on line.
Brides to be can’t wait to begin preparations for the big day. Barnes and Nobel becomes a regular stop for the newly engaged, while searches on wedding Websites jump to break-neck speed as couples hit the Internet in a frenzy of wedding planning.
Wedding shows, such as the Bridal Premiere, have become popular haunts for the soon-to-be-married. The Premier offers a fun day filled with ideas, expert advice, and plenty of prizes for the lucky bride-to-be and her groom.
The first 100 brides to arrive at the Premiere will be automatically entered into the drawing for a Hyatt Weekend Package and all attending brides will have the opportunity to win a Mia Solano bridal gown. A sample gown will be shown in the fashion show, however, the winner will have her choice of a variety of gowns.
The Hyatt Weekend and the bridal gown will be drawn immediately following the second fashion show. Winners must be present to win.
“Planning a wedding can be a huge undertaking for anyone, said Diane Boyd, Bridal Premiere coordinator. So let us walk you through the process.”
It begins at the registration table with ticket purchases and will call orders. Each bride fills out an official bride’s ticket that will be placed in the “enter to win” box for on-stage drawings. She then receives a sticker to identify that she is the bride, a wristband so she may come and go from the show site, and a bride’s bag filled with an assortment of major bridal magazines.
“It’s a good idea to bring labels since every vendor will have some type of drawing at their booth,” advises Boyd.
Then, it’s down the foyer, and into the ballroom to visit with the wedding experts.
This year’s show offers 63 vendors who will be on hand to answer questions, provide advice and pricing, and assist brides-to-be with all aspects of wedding planning.
Featured vendors include bakeries, caterers, DJs, florists, invitations, photographers, live music, videographers, wedding locations, hotels and restaurants, travel agencies, bridal salons, tuxedo shops, wedding planners, limo services, favors, and more.
The two fashion shows, 12:30 and 3 pm, will feature the latest in bridal attire and evening wear from David’s Bridal, The Men’s Wearhouse, and Friar Tux Tux Shops. Florists showing their best include Stacey’s Symphony of Flowers, Flowers by Susan, Artistic Florals, and Flowers by Orie. Stage décor is also provided by Stacy’s Symphony of Flowers.
Fashion show music is provided by Jim and Carrie Caldwell, and the Harp prelude by Vonette of musical network.
