Over The Hill Gang
The club invites active people aged 50 and over to get acquainted at our Saturday, Jan 5 meeting and potluck at a member’s home in Thousand Oaks. We’re enthusiastic, fun-loving people who enjoy sharing the experience of skiing and other outdoor activities with other physically active seniors. Our motto is “Once you’re over the hill, you pick up speed!” The meeting will start at 3 p.m. Regular Club activities include skiing, hiking, biking, dinners and cultural events. Basketball Leagues
The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services announces that team packets are now available for the Winter/Spring 2008 Adult Basketball League. The Adult Basketball League play on Sundays from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 -10:00 p.m. at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center. The Winter/Spring League will begin play the week of January 6, 2008. Dems host luncheon
The Democratic Women’s Council of Conejo Valley will hold their first brunch of the new year on January 12, 2008 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The featured speaker for the event will be former State Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson. Jackson served in this capacity for six years and was an advocate for improving public education, increasing public safety, a healthcare system and protecting the environment. She authored more than 60 bills that were signed into law. The event will take place at Naylor’s Banquet Center in the Thousand Oaks Inn. The inn is at 75 West Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks.
