Two seats open on Oak Park MAC

Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks announces two seats on the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council will be up for election in November. The terms of current MAC members Deena Parry and Todd Haines will end and registered voters of Oak Park are eligible to run.
The Oak Park MAC meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at Oak Park High School in Room G-9 at 7 p.m. and deal with issues of concern to the Oak Park Community as well as providing recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on land use and governmental issues.
There are no term limits for these seats and current Council members have the option to run for re-election.
Candidates interested in running for election to the Oak Park MAC can pick up nomination packets beginning Monday, July 14 at the office of Supervisor Linda Parks at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2967 Thousand Oaks Blvd., or at the Ventura County Elections Division at 800 S. Victoria Blvd., Ventura.
The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on Friday, August 8 if both of the incumbents choose to run. If either of the incumbents does not choose to run the deadline for filing will be extended through August 13. All nomination papers must be filed in person at the Elections Division at Ventura County Government Center.
